- Title
The two faces of cross-border banking flows: an investigation into the links between global risk, arms-length funding and internal capital markets.
- Abstract
A summary of 2014 research paper "Working Paper No. 498" by banking personnel Steven Riddiough and Dennis Reinhardt for the Bank of England as the central bank of Great Britain is presented. Topics discussed include the two forms of cross-border funding namely arms-length (interbank) and related (intragroup), the differences of these forms as applied during a financial crisis, and the importance of disaggregated cross-border bank-to-bank funding.
