- Title
Internal Teat Sealant - the key to beating mastitis?
- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of internal teat sealant to reduce levels of clinical mastitis due to lactation. It notes that mastitis is caused by environmental bacteria, such as acute Escherichia coli, which enters the udder during the dry period. It says that an internal teal sealant serves as a physical barrier in the teat canal and the base of the teat to complement the natural action of the cow. With the use of this sealant, the teat canal will be immediately sealed after infusion.
