- Abstract
To explore the antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects of different fractions of Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz, and identify the effective constiuents of Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz, the antinociceptive effect of different fractions of Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz was studied using the writhing test in mice. Anti-inflammation of different fractions of Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz was assessed by carageenin induced paw edema in rats; Oral administration of n-butanol extract from Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz significantly inhibited the writhing responses of mice and relieving the carageenin induced paw edema in rats; The aqueous fraction from Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz (100,200,400 mg/kg) significantly relieved the carageenin induced paw edema in rats; The aqueous fraction from Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz has anti-inflammatory. The n-butanol extract from Urtica macrorrhiza Hand-Mazz has some antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects.
