- Abstract
The article discusses the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA) legislation as applied to the April 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and the millions of barrels of oil which spilled from the British Petroleum (BP) Macondo oil well. The analysis of admiralty jurisdiction in relation to the Deepwater Horizon is examined under OCSLA, the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA), and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (FWPCA).
