- Abstract
The article discusses research led by Rivka Bekenstein on the interaction of nonlinearities and wave mechanics in an optical beam system governed by the Newton-Schrödinger equation. The study introduced the nonlocality of the heat diffusion process and of the optical nonlinearity. The research examined the gravitational field back-reaction on a class of quantum mechanical wave packets known as Airy beams and the interaction with the optical analogue of a star called soliton.
