- Title
Anadromous Fish "That Swam with Dinosaurs" Neither Extinct nor Extirpated.
- Authors
Johnson, James J. S.
- Abstract
The article discusses the Atlantic sturgeon or Acipenser oxyrinchus oxyrinchus found in the tributary rivers of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and Virginia. It notes the claims of biologists for the existence of sturgeon at James River in North and South Dakota and its nearby Pamunkey, a York River tributary, has a spawning population, also in the Marshyhope Creek. The author believes that the lack of knowledge for the sturgeon may be compared to the lack of forensic science-based knowledge.
