- Authors
LEWIS, JENNY
- Abstract
This article frames the first of a series of articles that documents the research and findings of this author's PhD inquiry. This inquiry aims to identify the emerging evidence regarding effective high impact principal preparation (EHIPP) programs and explore what makes these programs effective and high impact in terms of inputs and outputs. These learnings may inform the development of internationally respected Australian EHIPP programs. This article also details the Australian national discussions to date regarding the design of an EHIPP program for Australian aspirant principals and presents the initial findings of international EHIPP program policy and practices that have been implemented in diverse contexts. Selected longitudinal, substantially evaluated programs that have proven impact and contribute to an effective, high impact principal pipeline are discussed in future articles.
