- Abstract
The article discusses the judicial, constitutional and professional implications of special masters in child-custody proceedings in the U.S. According to the author, child-custody proceeding plays an essential role in the family law system wherein courts invades the privacy and personal life of the family to make a sound decision on the future and life of children with the best interest. Moreover, the author stresses that judicial courts are given adjudicative power which includes stricter guidelines on special matters and allowing the use of small factual issues. It also discusses the background, role and history of special masters and the rules that govern the best interest standards.
