- Abstract
The article provides information on various cases of medical malpractice in obstetrics and gynecology in the U.S. A woman from California sued an obstetrician in 2002 whom she claimed had severely injured her baby after encountering a shoulder dystocia. In 1996, a couple from New York sued obstetricians for allegedly causing brain damage to the baby after delaying a caesarean operation. A woman from Virginia sued a gynecologist for a failed sterilization operation.
