- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an entrepreneur family business that has successfully changed and grown to meet the need of the market in New Zealand. The Sparrow family has developed the New Zealand Sock Co., the oldest privately owned fashion retailer into a prosperous entrepreneurial business. The company has confronted many challenges including deregulation, high labour costs, cheap import substitutes and a small domestic market.
