- Authors
Hollenbeck, Irene
- Abstract
This article examines the opportunity of children in Oregon to have an opportunity to participate in outdoor science experiences such as regular school field trips. Respondents were asked to recall all the organized camping experiences and outdoor field trips in which they had participated since entering the school. The questions used were designed to discover the amount and kind of outdoor science experiences the young people have had in summer camps. The questionnaires were distributed during orientation week to all entering freshmen at the regional colleges who were graduates of Oregon high schools.
