- Abstract
Although the pandemic has affected all firms irrespective of their size, the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are more vulnerable to such hazards, given the lack of financial and human resources in comparison to large firms ([2]; [27]; [33]). Since the initiatives and measures announced by the government and the RBI have limited scope to support the MSME sector, given the high-level informality, there is a need to bring out additional measures to revive small firms, particularly the diverse micro enterprises. Micro enterprises constitute around 99.5% of the total MSME establishments.
