- Abstract
Cyber crime is a crime that occurs in cyberspace, where one of the most prevalent cyber crimes is cyberbullying in adolescents. The survey results show that there are 2 instant messages from the most frequently used social media, namely Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. Therefore, cyber crime is also likely to occur in the two instant messages because the users are very dominant. Seeing the development of IoT that affects every activity through communication in cyberspace, digital evidence from instant messages on social media has now become valid evidence in uncovering various problems, one of which is cyberbullying. However, crimes will be difficult to uncover if the digital evidence is deleted or intentionally deleted. Therefore, in this study using the Action Research Method, the authors carried out a Digital Forensic process to uncover evidence of cyberbullying from Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. In this case, cyberbullying is only a small example of the many cyber crimes that occur. Therefore, this Digital Foresics process can be applied to reveal various other types of cyber crimes. In addition, the results of this study can also be used to reveal other digital evidence needed in the investigation process.
