- Abstract
The article presents a study on the position of the occlusal plane with respect to the facial cranium. In the study, cephalometry was used for the measurement of the position of the occlusal plane in the facial cranium of a total of 710 patients over age 7 years. There were total 710 subjects in the study, of which 629 were Japanese and others were 81. In the study it was found that the point at the base of the nose intersects with the median sagittal plane. The root of the nose corresponds to the frontal nasal bone suture.
