Vision of the famous.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on vision defects of various famous Impressionist artists as of October 1, 1993. The author of the article asserts that artist Camille Pissarro suffered from chronic dacrycystitis and not corneal ulcers as claimed by some researchers. Some researchers report that artist Auguste Renoir was myopic. However, the author claims that biography of Renoir by his son clearly reveals that Renoir was not myopic. The author also dismisses claims made by researchers that Renoir was a miniaturist. The author admonishes researchers D.B. Elliott and A. Skaff for calling Impressionist group of artists a collection of people with poor eyesight.
