The article focuses on various plays which used versions of Jewish historian Flavius Josephus as a source to perform a drama at the theater in London, England including ''The Tragedy of Mariam'' by Elizabeth Cary, ''Herod and Antipater'' by William Sampson and ''The Jewes Tragedy'' by William Heminge. Topics include character Josephus being termed as Joseph in ''Herod and Antipater" and' Josephus' character in ''The Jewes Tragedy'' not being connected to the historian.
