The article discusses the works of Baptists scholars Clyde Francisco, Ralph Elliot and G. Henton Davies with regards to hermeneutical methodologies of Baptist churches. Topics covered include historical complications surrounding the controversies of the book of Genesis of the Bible, the controversial use of Willhausian Documentary Hypothesis by Elliot and Davies in challenging the historicity of the Genesis text, and Francisco's use of Documentary Hypothesis in explaining Genesis text.
