- Abstract
The article features Baptist clergy Duncan O'Bryant and his missionary works for the Western Cherokees. He was born in South Carolina in 1785 or 1786, became a licensed preacher in 1821 and was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1825 or 1826. He and his family along with his congregation joined the Arcansaw Contary in 1832 to preach to Native Americans in Flint District of Oklahoma. He constructed the Liberty Baptist Church and a school in Flint District.
