- Abstract
Some technical and methodological problems on the photometry of geostationary satellites (GSS) and their identification by photometric properties are considered. The currently known methods for identification of geostationary satellites by photometric data are briefly reviewed. The database of photometric and dynamic characteristics of GSS, the ancillary information, and the simplified input data for the inverse problem solution allow one to identify an unknown GSS with the up-to-date methods with a probability of 80%.
