- Abstract
The article discusses the indigenous armoured-vehicle solutions adopted by Asian countries to address internal-security challenges and the investment of the U.S. and Great Britain in armoured Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles. The armoured MRAP vehicles introduced by the U.S. since 2007 are cited including Navistar MaxxPro, Stewart & Stevenson Caiman and BAE Systems RG-31. The advantages of MRAP vehicles are also noted including saving soldiers' lives.
