A commentary on the creation of the Hubble Space Telescope and the Superconducting Supercollider (SSC) is presented. The authors consider the impact of the introduction of the telescope and SSC on physicists. They believe the death of the SSC contradicted the resurrection of the Hubble. They offer information on the Hubble Heritage Project.
