- Abstract
The article looks at the new Laboratory Guidance Documents (LGD) issued by the Botanical Adulterants Program on identifying adulterants within bilberry and skull cap extracts. Topics covered include 39 analytical techniques were assessed under the LGD for the bilberry extract like botanical microscopy and macroscopic analysis, bilberries are known to have anthocyanins, which are antioxidants, and a future LGD will be published for identifying adulterants for black cohosh.
