- Abstract
The article reports on estimates of the production functions of establishments on the diamond industry in Israel. The emphasis is on the estimates of endogenous technical change due to the learning of skills. The final amount of polished diamonds depends on the skill of the person engaged in cutting the material. The productivity of an establishment depends on the managerial and administrative skill. The various sources of productivity will also be examined. The data is based on a survey conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics in Israel. The information pertains to the characteristics of establishments in the industry.
