- Abstract
The article focuses on the Mediterranean Sea coral Astroides calycularis that forms small colonies composing of polyps stuck to each other as a single organism. Topics include the field survey observations related to the predation of the mauve stinger, Pelagia noctiluca by A. calycularis, and the protocooperation among small polyps preying on large jellyfishes.
