- Abstract
The article presents a study which explores the increased risk of pressure ulcers (PUs) in hospitalized patients treated with amiloride. The study identified patients undergoing prolonged hospitalization without admitting PUs with the lack of reliable data regarding tobacco use. The findings of study suggest that treatment with amiloride is an independent risk factor for PU in hospitalized patients with heart failure.
