- Abstract
This article explores the growing trend of feminist novels that reexamine Greek myths, focusing on the experiences of women who have been marginalized or overlooked. These novels offer a contemporary perspective on the ancient tales, highlighting the harsh realities of violence and inequality that are often ignored. Authors such as Madeline Miller, Natalie Haynes, Jennifer Saint, and Pat Barker have gained popularity for their efforts to give female characters more agency and challenge the traditional narratives. This resurgence in interest aligns with the #MeToo movement and a greater awareness of sexual harassment and abuse. These authors aim to critique the culture of silence surrounding these issues while still appreciating the enduring allure of mythology.
