- Title
Two Visions of the World: Dante and Boccaccio.
- Authors
Mazzotta, Giuseppe F.
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the medieval visions of the world by Dante and Boccaccio. It offers a neo-historical interpretation and literary cohesiveness of Boccaccio's visions of the world through his early poems such as "Filostrato." The author presents the influence of medieval literature to the present times as an imaginary locus of the rivalry of prominent literary proponents whose belief remain non-constitutive but are determined by arbitrary rhetorics.
