A criticism is presented on several poems within the English poet George Crabbe's book "Tales," including the poems "The Library," "The Learned Boy" (Tale XXI) and "Edward Shore" (Tale XI). Particular focus is given to the influence on botanical taxonomy on the Crabbe's poetry, including in regard to the apparent order in nature.
