Thresholds are in the Eye of the Beholder: Plants and Wildlife Respond Differently to Short-Term Cattle Corrals GLO:69VH/01jan20:bes21639-fig-0001.jpg PHOTO (COLOR): Traditional cattle corral "bomas", constructed with thorn fences (top), develop into treeless "glades" (bottom) that attract wildlife. GLO:69VH/01jan20:bes21639-fig-0004.jpg PHOTO (COLOR): Thick cover of Cynodon plectostachyus grass, characteristic of traditional thorn fence boma sites, that developed on a mobile boma left in place for 14 days.
