The article discusses the encounters of Australians and New Zealanders (ANZAC) and Israelis at the battle in Gallipoli in 1915-1916, and the liberation of Auschwitz and victory over Nazi Germany in the Second World War, and the Zionist involvement in the First World War. Topics discussed include establishment of Zion Mule Corps in Alexandria, Egypt in April 1915, with half attached to ANZAC troops in Gallipoli, and Second World War encounters like building fortifications in the Western Desert.
