- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the interest of industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologists in performance management. They state that the I-O psychologists continued the interesting tradition by arguing that the emphasis on the relationship between the employee and manager will recover the performance management. They believe that poor implementation is an operational challenge due to the misalignment of the overall organizational strategy and other human resources (HR) practices.
