- Abstract
The prospective ERP cohort had predominately laparoscopic surgery compared to mainly open surgery in the retrospective non-ERP cohort. Dear Editor, We would like to congratulate Luzuy-Guarnero et al I . i [[1]] on their important paper entitled: 'Cost-Benefit Analysis of an Enhanced Recovery Program for Gastrectomy A Retrospective Controlled Analysis'. As the authors rightly state, Enhanced Recover Programmes (ERPs) have been shown to reduce costs in other cancers but the question remains open for gastric surgery.
