- Abstract
The article explores the use of air transportation during the development and construction of hydroelectric facilities at the James Bay Complex in the province of Quebec, Canada. The author notes the development of air/ground communication systems, selection and construction of airports, and standards for the storage of aviation fuel in the establishment of a transportation system for the work force. Other topics include the purchase of aircraft such as the Hercules, the use of ice airstrips, and construction of generating facilities.
