The article examines laws aimed to protection of cultural and spiritual landscapes and materials in the U.S. Topics discussed include advocacy work of aboriginal traditional owners; he role of the courts in the protection of Indigenous cultural heritage; and ways to ways of overcoming the courts' ‘blindness' to country.
