- Abstract
The article focuses on the consideration in accommodating religious belief and the conscientious objection in the workplace in Australia. It examines the cases Islington London Borough Council v. Ladele and McFarlane, which were involved in the conscientious objection for services for gay and lesbian couples. Meanwhile, the Civil Partnerships Act of 2004 in Great Britain, which provides a status of same-sex couples to marriage was mentioned.
