- Abstract
The article explores the friction between opposing nationalities in Vilnius, Lithuania, after World War I and its implication for the relationship between the League of Nations and the Baltic Sea Region. It highlights the efforts of the international community to defuse the region's friction points. Also discussed are the military control of the planned mission of the league to the territory and the attempted plebiscite for the territory.
