- Abstract
The article focuses on baddeleyites from Mogok, Myanmar donated to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) based in Santa Monica, California. It is said that baddeleyite was identified as a mineral linked with painite. The faceted stones are black in color, they have no pleochroism and their fluorescence is inert to long-wave ultraviolet radiation. The stones have fractures and stringers of fine particles based on microscopic examination.
