The article focuses on the role of the U.S. False Claims Act (FCA) in preventing fraud and need of pleading standard for FCA claims to control contracting fraud. Topics discussed include expansion of government contracting for medical services under U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 and court case United States ex rel. Nathan v. Takeda Pharmaceutical related pleading standard for FCA claims.
