The article examines the factors that led to the agrarian crisis in India. The author observes that the process that drives the crisis is the predatory commercialization of the countryside and the tendency of the government to reduce human values to exchange value. This situation has caused the collapse of millions of livelihoods for small farmers. As a result, suicide rates among farmers in the country grew to an alarming level.
