The article discusses female book artists who collect stories to create books. Book artist Sheryl Oring developed her "I Wish to Say" series of books to give a voice to citizens during the U.S. presidency of George W. Bush. Book artist Annabel Other created The Bristol Art Library (TBAL), a miniature library to protest the closing of the Bristol Art Library. Book artists Jennie Hinchcliff and Carolee Gilligan Wheeler created the Pod Post Press to rehabilitate letter writing and mail art.
