- Abstract
This article is a commentary on a study conducted in Kashmir, India, which explores the prevalence of pseudoexfoliation (PEX) in diabetic patients with senile cataract. PEX is a systemic condition that affects various organs, including the eyes. The relationship between diabetes and PEX is not well understood, with contradictory studies on the impact of PEX on diabetes. Some studies suggest that diabetes may have a protective effect on the expression of PEX. Further research is needed to understand the interaction between diabetes and PEX in different populations.
