The article offers information on Joseph Ratzinger's (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI) theology of sacred music, systemization and Christian culture and author Justin Pizzo. It further discusses about history of both rock music and Christian rock and Christianity; Ratzinger's theology of liturgical music, would seem to exclude Christian rock; spiritual and rationalistic asceticism; and church music, a form of prayer linked to the Holy Spirit's teaching how to pray and leading to Christ the Logos.
