- Abstract
The article focuses on the European Court of Human Rights' (ECtHR) increasing number of cases decided on the grounds of the principle of nondiscrimination. It mentions the proactive role adopted by the ECtHR in the fight against any kind of discrimination. The author points out that the interaction between freedom of choice and nondiscrimination has the goal of protecting diversity without creating inequality.
