- Title
Recalibrating to meet the nation's workforce demands.
- Authors
Cooper, Richard A.; Herman, Lawrence
- Abstract
The author explains the need to recalibrate to address the demands of the workforce with the gaps in the supply of additional primary care providers for the increasing population. The author notes that only 30 percent of the four million 18-year-olds in the U.S. will graduate from college, and that although there has been an increase in applications to medical schools, most of matriculants are from higher-income families.
