- Abstract
The article presents the opposing views of Henryk Grossman's critic Andrew Trigg on the misrepresentation which stems from conflating his immanent critique of Otto Bauer with his own theory of accumulation. It is disclosed that though Grossman emphasizes the ways in which Bauer's model proves an advance over Marx's models of reproduction, he gives consideration the many ways in which Bauer's scheme misrepresents the accumulation process and thus cannot be interchange for a theory of its actual dynamics. Meanwhile, Trigg criticizes Grossman and emphasized that capitalist consumption is welcome in encouraging Marxist to rethink its importance.
