Next, Akay and Karadag give us a glimpse into the Turkish education system, examining student, parent, and school factors affecting eighth grade students' performance on transition exams which deeply impact their future trajectories. A report from the field by He, Wilson, Scott, and Zhao describes a community-based partnership using a two-generation approach to support English learners and their families. I'm a bit incredulous: With this issue, I'm celebrating 20 years of editing this oft-hidden gem of a journal.
