- Abstract
The article focuses on how science textbooks deal with marginalized communities' contributions to the development of science. Topics discussed include the assertion that science educators have generally failed to acknowledge the contributions of non-Europeans to science, the scientific discoveries whose origins can be traced back to communities that have been historically marginalized and the importance of being more inclusive in representing science in textbooks and in classrooms.
