Treating Panic Online.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the effectivity of Internet-based treatments for sufferers of panic disorder. Panic disorder are attributed by a sudden rush of fear or intense anxiety and physical symptoms like racing heartbeat,shortness of breath, light-headedness or nausea. There are three types of treatments, such as Internet-based cognitive behavior therapy session, face-to-face sessions and use of medication monitored by a psychiatrist. Research revealed that online method therapy is as effective as face-to-face treatment in terms of reducing disturbing thoughts and improving stress and anxiety.
