- Abstract
The article reports on the establishment of property requirements for the expansion of the environmental law in Great Britain. The amended Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA) has three defenses namely the innocent landowner defense, bona fide prospective purchasers defense and the contiguous property owners defense.
