- Abstract
The article discusses the comparative systems of light verbs and event classification in Nyulnyulan languages from a historical perspective. It states that the complex predicate systems for three-well attested languages are described in detail as well as the difficulties of appearance in all eight Nyulnyulan daughter languages. Furthermore, there are three problems in reconstructing which is the classification systems that differ between languages, the syntax of the light verb constructions differs markedly, and number of items which are cognate as preverbs that is quite small.
